WinACC depends on volunteers for its work. We have plenty of volunteering opportunities whatever your skills and however much time you have to give.

Latest opportunities, August 2015:

Volunteer event organiser

Would you love to get into event management or do you already have experience that you can share?

The Great Waste is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who is interested in organising mini exhibitions and helping run the design competition from September to April.  The aim is to encourage people to reduce their waste and increase their levels of recycling. This would be a great opportunity for somebody interested in event management. Further details and how to apply

Publicising our events
If you are local, please help by taking our posters round Winchester town to advertise our events.  Takes about 3 hours approximately once a fortnight, or even once a month.

If you can help, we'd be delighted.  Contact Caroline.Tollyfield@winacc.org.uk
Selling on eBay
We want to sell things on eBay for WinACC funds. So we need someone to put up the adverts, post items when bought, and generally run it for us. Not a lot of work - maybe an hour or two per item? Contact Caroline.Tollyfield@winacc.org.uk

Other opportunities

Fundraising volunteer

Could you help generate funds for WinACC? We need people who can contribute to our fundraising ideas, help out with fundraising events, motivate people about WinACC's work and help with other fundraising duties. Further details about this role.

Events volunteer

Can you help at events, even if only two or three times a year? This is usually staffing a WinACC stall, telling people about climate change, in an evening or weekend. When we run our own events, we need volunteers for refreshments, registration, directing participants, and putting up posters.

Join an action group or neighbourhood group

Make friends and make a difference. Join a group that meets about once a month and takes action to tackle climate change.
