Winchester City Council (WCC) invites you to an exhibition to view proposals for a new Extra Care scheme at Chesil Street and related measures to mitigate the loss of the surface car park. This exhibition is open to everyone.

The City Council says:

Members from the project team will be on hand to talk through the exhibition and answer any questions.

Winchester has an aging population and WCC is committed to ensure older people have a choice of accommodation that suits their needs. In March this year, JPT facilitated a Community Planning Day (CPD) on behalf of WCC, to consider issues and options for a potential new Extra Care scheme at Chesil Street. Subsequently, WCC Cabinet Housing Committee have voted to submit a planning application for the new scheme, taking into account the issues raised at the CPD. For more information click here.

Following a review of the comments received during the forthcoming exhibition, it is anticipated that a planning application will be submitted in the Autumn.
