Saturday, 7 March 2015 - 12:30pm to 4:00pm

(Thanks to Friends of the Earth for this item)

Climate change is already affecting people across the globe – but while the temperature is rising, a growing movement is rising to the challenge. March to show just how many people demand real action on climate change.

The ‘Time to Act’ event will bring together people from all walks of life and all corners of the climate movement

With the general election just around the corner, we’ll be sending a message to politicians that we want them to act – to stop fracking and investment in fossil fuels and invest instead in clean, green energy alternatives.

The exact route of the march is yet to be confirmed, but we’ll march through the streets of London, ending up in Parliament Square. Once we’re there, we'll hear from speakers including Caroline Lucas MP and Greenpeace's Jon Sauven.

The march is organised into ‘blocs’ so you can easily find people interested in the same issues as you.

Please do bring banners, placards and props if you can - let's make the march as spectacular as possible. You might already have some from a local campaign or group you're involved with, but if not why not get creative and make one of your own? If you don't have time though, don't worry - we should have a few extras to go around.

If you’re planning on joining us we’d love to know - please RSVP on the FoE website.
