Saturday, 6 June 2015 - 10:30am to 12:00pm

We know that we need to cut greenhouse gases by 40% by 2020 (compared with 2004), and to get 15% of our energy from renewable sources.

But setting targets like these is a waste of time unless we know how we will do it.

One year ago, WinACC launched a consultation on how we could do our share towards national and international targets.

This meeting is our chance to:

  • find out what's being done by some of the biggest emitters in our district
  • plan messages to give our MPs at the mass lobby on 17 June

We are inviting Hampshire County Council, the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, the University of Winchester and  Winchester City Council to tell us what's in their plans for reducing their own carbon footprint and moving from fossil fuel to renewable energy between 2015 and 2020.

Our open meetings are the ideal way to newcomers to meet people and find out about what's going on in Winchester on climate change. We aim to be friendly, welcoming and lively, and to thrash out our view on important policy issues at each meeting.
