Monday, 15 June 2015 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

7 for 7.30 start. Free.  Does our stuff make us happy, or can we be more fulfilled with less? Six inspiring and thought provoking evenings explore this theme in a relaxed cafe environment.

In this illustrated talk, Prof John Armitage and  Dr Yasmin Sekhon of Winchester School of Art present three contemporary visions of luxury in an era of austerity: luxury as something desirable, luxury as something wicked, and luxury as something ecological, even environmentally friendly. Which idea of luxury will you choose?

Great Waste productions for children and adults will be taking place in the Discovery Centre while the Trash to Treasure exhibition is on display, and throughout the year across Winchester District.

The Great Waste is a joint WinACC and Winchester City Council initiative
