Thursday, 26 November 2015 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Following their successful stall at the recent Romsey Food Fest highlighting the issue of ‘food waste’,Transition Town Romsey are continuing with the theme of ‘waste’ by holding a Public Meeting on Thursday, November 26th, 2015 at the Romsey URC Hall.  The aim is to demonstrate how the individual can really make a difference, and encourage Romsonians to ‘reduce, recycle and reuse’ more of their waste – especially over the up-coming Christmas Period.

During the evening there will be short talks by Transition Town Romsey and Susie Phillips, Project Manager for Winchester’s year-long initiative ‘The Great Waste’ (“Making waste into something wonderful”).  Before and after the talks, there will also be the opportunity to look at a number of information stalls by: TTR; Hampshire County Council’s ‘Smart Living’ campaign; Test Valley Borough Council; The Romsey Organic Gardeners; Southampton Scrapstore; Free Books; and The Repair Café; along with displays of fun ideas for ‘upcycling’.  So there should be much to discuss over coffee and cake !

All are invited to come and view information stalls from 7.00p.m. with the talks starting at 7.30p.m.
