The next 6-monthly Hampshire Climate Action Network meeting will be on Saturday 30 April 9.30 for coffee and introductions; business 10-12.30, then bring and share lunch.

This is open to everyone who is actively working against climate change in their communities in Hampshire to meet and share experiences. The purpose is to share news, learn from successes and failures, and work together were appropriate. It is informal workshop-style, no speakers, and a bring-and-share lunch afterwards to network.


1.     Round table introductions to our groups and our current main activities, following the Paris Climate Agreement

2.     Air quality (much happening in Southampton) 

3.     Pensions and divestment from fossil fuel  

4.     Getting more community energy projects  

5.     Fracking (one or two “fracking” licences have been awarded in and around Hampshire) 

6.     Other action to influence national Government?  

7.     Any actions taken to make climate change an issue in May local elections  (see WinACC briefing ) 

8.     Devolution:  South and North Hampshire proposals)

9.     Hampshire County Council 

10.  Other Hampshire-wide issues where we might collaborate?
