More than 250 people turned out to Colden Common Greening Campaign's “Love Your Environment Day” held at the local school on Saturday 14th February. The teamwork between the campaign and the school was outstanding.  The school itself demonstrated what they had implemented and learned about reducing their carbon footprint during their recent ECO Week. Footage of the ECO Week was also shown in the school’s IT room.

Visitors registered their lifestyle choices, energy saving changes and renewable energy sources which has provided some good insight (See results below). And a total of 30 householders indicated that they were willing to contribute their ideas and experience to the campaign.

There is still a lot of hard work ahead for the team – whilst the Launch Day has engaged like-minded people within the community, we believe there is still a large number that have yet to take up a Low Carbon lifestyle. The Green Card count will be happening on 21st March so if you are from Colden Common and haven’t taken the challenge yet, there is still time left to make the commitment.
