Winchester City Council held a "Question Time" on 27 October 2011 at the Theatre Royal Winchester on the issue of housing and development. WinACC took a note of what was said.

The discussion concentrated on the number of new homes needed, the need for affordable homes, and where they should be built. WinACC was disappointed that time ran out before discussion of the other important aspect - that all new housing must help people live low carbon lives. It must be easy for people to get to work, school, shops and leisure without being forced to use a car. They must be able to stay warm without burning fossil fuels, using precious resources and polluting our district with greenhouse gases.
