Hampshire County Council is looking to save over £1.5m from the costs of running Hampshire’s Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) through reductions in opening hours and/or the closure of some sites.

The County Council operates 24 HWRC sites across the County which are open 7 days a week almost all year round. To acheive the savings required cuts to opening hours and the closure of some sites are being considered.
