WinACC replied to the House of Commons four Select Committees' consultation on air quality to say that the consultation paper set out the seriousness and urgency of the problem very clearly, but failed to set measures and a timetable to act. We asked for resources for local government to tackle the problem, better links between Highways England and local authorities on air pollution action, and asked them to add Winchester to their list of towns where pollution is above legal levels.
