Alan Lovell, Chief Executive of the Renewable Energy Company “Infinis” will be giving a lecture at Intech Science Centre and Planetarium, Telegraph Way, Morn Hill, Winchester on Friday 1 August from 7.00-9.45pm. The lecture will be based on the film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, bringing out the implications for the UK. It will be followed by drinks and a presentation in the planetarium dome about environmental issues. Tickets £5 per person. Places limited so early booking advisable. South Wonston Energy Saving Group is holding its first meeting at The Pavilion, Recreation Ground, West Hill Road South, South Wonston on Monday 7 July at 7.30pm. All welcome. The 20th July will see the first conference for Hampshire, where non-government organisations trying to reduce the effects of Climate Change will be given the opportunity to gather together to share information and ideas.

Colden Common will be holding its first open meeting to discuss, brainstorm and share ideas around the launch of a Greening Campaign in Colden Common later this year.
The Greening Campaign is a regional initiative, complementary to the aims and objectives of WinACC, that aims to motivate people to reduce their carbon footprint.
The meeting will take place on Friday 20 June from 7.30pm at Colden Common Community Centre.

With support from architecture plb and Winchester Cathedral, WinACC, in collaboration with the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Sustainable Business Partnership, is organizing a reception for Winchester businesses to be held from 1800-1930 on Thursday 12 June at Priors Hall, The Close. The main aim is to bring together Winchester businesses to allow them to explore the benefits of adopting a more ‘sustainable’ approach, in line with the WinACC message, with a view to helping to reduce Winchester’s carbon footprint.
