Winchester stationAs part of the Hampshire Sustainable Transport Towns project, Halcrow is working with Hampshire County Council to produce Station Travel Plans for several railway stations in the area. This is the Station Travel Plan for Winchester Station.

A station travel plan is a strategy for managing access to a railway station, usually with a view to improving access to the station by sustainable modes of transport; particularly walking, cycling, bus and car share.

The travel plan looks not only at the facilities at the station itself, but also the approaches to the station, and routes between the station and key local destinations in the city centre.

This document was produced as a consequence to the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (2007). More about this can be foundĀ here.
